Intermediate/Advanced Program

Who Is this Class for?

This class is for students who have been designated as Yellow or Blue Shorts within our grading system. (Typically with a minimum of 1 year of experience and beyond).

What to Expect

Once students have graduated to their second level, they are welcome to join our Intermediate/Advanced Class. This class involves more intense conditioning, live drilling with a partner, pad work, bag work and advanced concepts needed for a student to defend themselves in a self-defence situation and/or compete in Muay Thai. For those at Level 3 in our grading system, classes typically end with open sparring and clinching (the stand-up grappling form in Muay Thai).

Note: sparring is supervised and always optional.

  • Muay Thai Shorts
  • 14-16 oz. gloves
  • Shin guards
  • Mouth piece
  • Groin protection for men
  • The spirit of playful seriousness and an overall good attitude! (Recommended but optional)
  • Elbow pads
  • Knee pads
  • Headgear
